On 13 September, the grounds of SĀGA Shopping Centre were transformed into a true extreme sports arena, where we celebrated Father’s Day with adrenaline, exciting tricks and unforgettable emotions. The day began with the official opening, followed by an introduction to the action-packed programme, coaches and activity zones. Throughout the day, visitors could enjoy the Street Zone, Ramp Zone and Parkour Zone, as well as the area where the highlight of the day took place – spectacular jumps over a car.

From First Tricks to Competitive Excitement

The morning kicked off with a scooter school led by coaches Ronans Lazdāns and Roberts Ābelītis. Both beginners and more experienced riders had the opportunity to improve their skills, learn new tricks and receive valuable tips from professionals.

This was followed by high-jump and long-jump competitions on scooters and BMX bikes, where participants competed for every centimetre – both in height and distance. The competitive spirit and enthusiastic support from the crowd created a truly exciting atmosphere.

One of the most fun and emotional challenges was “Father and Child vs. Father and Child”. Family teams worked together to complete an obstacle course on scooters. Later, fathers and children had to demonstrate their teamwork in a completely different way – fathers had to disassemble a scooter, while the children had to put it back together as quickly as possible.

Tricks, Shows and Parkour

The excitement continued with spectacular Street Zone shows featuring scooters and BMX, using a mobile skatepark.

Parkour enthusiasts also had the chance to try something new during introductory sessions with Latvia’s leading stunt performer, Andris Priedītis, learning the basics of parkour and movement techniques.

In the afternoon, professional riders took over the Ramp Zone, showcasing impressive jumps and tricks on both scooters and BMX bikes. The best performer in each discipline received a €100 prize, adding even more excitement to the competition.

The Highlight of the Day: Jumps Over a Car

At 5:15 PM, the most anticipated moment of the day arrived – professional riders jumping over a car.

The car used for this challenge had been specially prepared by AIRDOME for the event. The invited professionals soared over the car with incredible speed and precision, earning loud applause, excitement and amazement from the crowd.

Fun for the Whole Family

There was plenty for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. Visitors could decorate helmets, take part in activities, enjoy delicious food and watch professional athletes perform their impressive tricks.

It was a day where adrenaline, sport, family time and a fantastic atmosphere all came together in one place.
