Starting from June 5, we invite you to open-air movies at the SC SĀGA terrace. On ten evenings throughout the summer, you will be able to watch, on the large screen, the films most appreciated by audience: from Latvian classics to global movie hits. Let’s watch animation, comedy, adventure and family movies together in a summery and heartly mood.
Come and do not forget your rug to sit on and warm up in!
You will find tasty snacks and drinks in the SC SĀGA shops and cafes to make watching even more enjoyable.

June 5 - Banāns upē (Banana on the River) (2024)
Adventure film for wide audience. Its story is based on a topical subject of how to develop relationship with teenage kids of your beloved one. The boat trip meant for strengthening relationship gets unexpected twists and turns.
June 12 – The Queen’s Corgi (2019)
Animation movie for the family devoted to corgi, darlings of the Queen of England. Rex, the Queen’s favourite corgi, disappears from the Buckingham Palace and ends up in the streets of London ruled by different laws, disagreement, and fighting. Returning back home to the owner is a long road full of adventure.
June 19 – Limuzīns Jāņu nakts krāsā (A Limousine the Colour of Midsummer's Eve) (1981)
Latvian movie classics, which has been included in the Latvia’s Cultural Canon and which the audience has recognised as the best Latvian movie of all times. An old farmstead auntie, Saknīšu Mirta, wins a Soviet car Zhiguli in the lottery, and her house is immediately full of relatives, who have not showed any interest in their auntie so far. Quotes from this movie have already become folklore: “Erik, carry me to the top of the hill!”, “Are you a guy or not? Climb this tree!”, “It’s interesting for me, as a historian”.
July 3 – A Good Year (2006)
A romantic comedy about the stock exchange broker who has inherited a winery in Provence from his uncle. The initial intention to sell the house and the wine yard is changed by a romantic rendezvous.
July 17 – Wonder (2017)
An inspiring and touching story of a ten-year-old boy with facial defect who attends a public school for the first time. It is not easy for the peers to accept the different boy; he needs to learn to defend himself and to find friends.
July 31 – A Dog’s Purpose (2017)
An adventure movie about a faithful dog, which teaches people to be happy and to love. The movie shows the world from a dog’s perspective and convinces that every living creature on Earth has its reason to be here.
August 7 – The Intouchables (2011)
A life-evidencing movie about the relationship between a paralysed aristocrat and his nurse who has just been released from jail. He manages to bring resiliency and adventure spirit into the life of his employer.
August 14 - Paddington 2 (2017)
Animated feature about the beloved bear Paddington. Paddington is determined to get a birthday present for his aunt; however, the intended gift is stolen from the shop, he is unreasonably prosecuted and imprisoned for theft. The bear and his family have to find the real thief and prove Paddington innocent.
August 21 – BUM (2024)
A Latvian film about Hugo, a boy of thirteen, who obtains magic superpowers after falling from a skateboard. They quickly turn the clumsy boy into the most famous guy in school. Sudden fame damages Hugo’s relationship with his best friend Toms, and soon Hugo has to choose between status and friendship.
September 4 – Trouble (2019)
Animation movie for the entire family about a dog who has lived in a splendid mansion, but after the death of the owner ends up in the streets and turns out to be totally unfit for the real world.
